Azmin Ali is ‘influential’ in PPBM

Azmin Ali has been under the lime light after he was elected as the Minister of economic affair and there are rumour around about the possibility of Azmin Ali becoming the next Prime Minister of Malaysia.

There is no prove to the rumors. However, Azmin Ali was seen very close to PPBM in the media.

The Minister of Economic Affairs appears in the top 10 influencers for PPBM. Although there is a huge gap between Mahathir and Azmin, Azmin ranked at number 3, leaving Armada Youth Chief of Bersatu Syed Saddiq behind. Additionally, he also bypassed Anwar Ibrahim who is at number 6.

In February, Azmin had been relatively vocal on the issue of ex-UMNO going into PPBM in which he is seen to strongly support Tun Mahathir despite the many criticisms of accepting UMNO defectors into PH.

Looking at how Azmin is moving in the political scene, it seems like the Economic Minister will continue to back up the Prime Minister. Conversely, Tun seems to have a lot of faith in Azmin. His appointments into the economic council and chairman of the Kelantan State Action Council (MTNg) is the prove.
