Fallen firefighter Muhammad Adib remains active in the media

It has been almost a month since the death of firefighter Muhammad Adib. Yet, the topic of “Muhammad Adib” remains active in January.

The top issues regarding Muhammad Adib recently are about his post-mortem findings. Waytha Moorthy’s name still appear in news related to Adib. Waytha was mentioned by Lokman Adam, the latter said that the former requested the for Adib’s autopsy report to be adjusted. Consequently, Lokman was arrested by the police under Sedition Act.

On January 11, Sungai Besar UMNO division chief Jamal Yunos re-emerged and gave out the status of Lokman, stating that he had been released on police bail.

On the other hand, Adib’s mother said that she wants the case to be solved as soon as possible. On a brighter note, Wirah Merah fund is still open for donors who wish to donate to Adib’s next-of-kin.

Despite being mentioned by Lokman and becoming the cause of his arrest, the media did not relate Waytha and Adib that much. Whereas, Lokman has become the person who was frequently mentioned by the media when it comes to news about Adib, with a total of 61 news.

Overall, the news reported by the media have changed to the angle of Lokman Adam is the one who was arrested under Sedition Act for framing Waytha for amending the autopsy report.
