Ku Nan arrested and charged by MACC

On November 14, former Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor (Ku Nan) was arrested by MACC over the dubious land deals involving Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL). The arrest was made around 3.00 pm which made the keyword “Ku Nan” trending on Twitter. Despite being charged on November 15, “Ku Nan” trend swiftly died down on Twitter.

 

The network below shows the accounts that retweet, mention, reply, quoted and using hashtag related the keyword “Ku Nan”. As we can see, the network can be divided into several clusters, primarily the blue group and the orange group.

 

 

The accounts in blue group linked Tengku Adnan with Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and her former political aide Datuk Rizal Mansor. It is becasue three of them were summoned by MACC for questioning on the same day, November 14. Rosmah and Rizal were speculated to be charged for graft involving the RM1.25 billion solar hybrid project for schools in rural Sarawak. The main influencers in this group are news outlets’ account @staronline and @malaysiakini.

 

The orange group consist of influencers @Urangsabah and @terencedass. Both of them replied to approximately 50 accounts each. In their replies, they shared news regarding Tengku Adnan arrest, sourced from Malaysiakini and Astro Awani.
