PAS seeks peace with MCA

After officially tying the unification knot with UMNO and making friends with MIC, PAS is now seeking a path towards peace with MCA.

“In politics we must be flexible. We cannot be rigid because we are living in a multiracial society and Islam acknowledges the presence of other races,” says PAS President Dato’ Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, as quoted from NST.

Previously, PAS supporters wing (DHPP – Dewan Himpunan Penyokong PAS) met with MIC, and it was then followed by the meeting between Hadi and MIC on a “get-to-know” session.

Because of PAS’ vast experiences of working with other parties such as DAP and PKR, Hadi is now waiting for an opportunity to work with MCA.

The cooperation of PAS and UMNO have brought two by-election victories, Cameron Highlands and Semenyih. Previously, MCA President Wee Ka Siong said that he has no qualms with UMNO-PAS collaboration.
