Percentage of Malaysian served with piped water

Water disruption often happen in Klang Valley. The most recent one happened at Selangor in March and the state government was blamed for their mismanagement. Undoubtedly, water disruption brings discomfort to our daily lives. This bring in the realization that not every Malaysians have the comfort of having access to piped water.

 

 

Take Kelantan as an example. Despite living in the urban, there is a significant amount of urban population in the state (38.3%) that does not have access to piped water. Meanwhile, 32.3% of the population living in the rural Kelantan.

 

On a brighter note, the accessibility of piped water in East Malaysia have drastically improved for the past few years.
