Sabah UMNO will be getting full autonomy

Sabah UMNO supreme council member Abdul Rahman Dahlan confirmed that the party state branch will be getting autonomy by the end of 2019.

Sabah UMNO was first granted partial autonomy in February by the party’s central leadership, starting with administrative power over issues such as membership, annual report to the Registrar of Societies and disciplinary cases.

By the end of this year, Sabah UMNO will have full rights in choosing its own liaison chief, candidates for election, and Chief Minister of Sabah if the party win the state in the next election.

In addition, Abdul Rahman has made 42 statements regarding Sabah UMNO within the past week.

As Kota Belud MP, Abdul Rahman has said that the reformed Sabah UMNO will reach out to the non-Malays and non-Muslims, help the Chinese schools, and conduct welfare programs for the people of Tuaran just like he has done for those in Kota Belud.
