Starbucks Malaysia’s Facebook page gained about 10 thousand likes in July. Previously, the page only garnered less than 5 thousand likes each month in 2019.
Upon further inspection, most of the likes (6,546 likes) received by Starbucks Malaysia occurred on July 12. It was the day Starbucks had its buy one free one promotion from 5pm to 8pm.
Undoubtedly, Starbucks produced more posts during the promotion day. Subsequently, the number of comments also witnessed a spike on July 12, reaching over 4,000 comments. However, on other days, the number of comments the Facebook page received barely reach 1,000 comments per day.
