FashionValet founder Vivy Yusof was appointed a member of Universiti Teknologi Mara’s (UiTM) board of directors.
The announcement was made through UiTM’s official Facebook page on May 26.
According to the ‘Posting’ trend of UiTM’s Facebook page, it is noticeable that the page regularly posts a minimum of 100 posts every month in 2019.
At the same time, the number of comments received is important as it will indicate the attractiveness of a post. Comparing UiTM’s Facebook ‘Posting’ and ‘Comment’ trends in 2019, increasing the number of postings did not result in a higher number of comments.
There is a sudden spike of comments in May despite the lower number of posts made by UiTM compared to previous months.
Does this have anything to do with Vivy Yusof’s appointment?
Zooming into the daily ‘Comment’ trend of UiTM’s Facebook page, it is observed that the post on Vivy’s appointment is not the post with the most comments in May.
Instead, the most attractive post made by UiTM was on May 8, and it was about job openings in the university.
Undoubtedly, the appointment of Vivy as UiTM’s board member was sensational news as did lead to an online debate. However, Facebook users were more interested in the university’s job openings.
