Feeding the Divide: Food Price Gaps Across Malaysian States and Their Underlying Factors

This publication investigates the disparities in food prices across various Malaysian states, with a strong emphasis on understanding the underlying causes of these regional gaps. Combining both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, the study maps out significant variations in food commodity prices, drawing from manually compiled data sourced from Federal Agricultural Market Authority (FAMA), the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS), the Department of Agriculture (DOA), and other related agencies.
