PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan announced a gag order on all PAS members from discussing party matters openly.

The order was made after PAS member Zaharudin Muhammad attacked a group whom he labelled as “dedak cartel” through the social media.

The son-in-law of PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang alleged that the group members received funds from UMNO or are linked to the party.

He claims that there are five members in the group, named them as “Dr Hussam II”. “Mr NT”. “Mr KT”, “Mr KH”, and “everyone knows”.

Speculations on the five mysterious individuals were swiftly made by netizens on social media. Zaharudin responded to the speculations, denying that Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri and PAS Youth chief Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi (eldest son of Abdul Hadi Awang) are part of the “dedak cartel”.

Additionally, he said that this cartel has nothing to do with the RM90 million scandal, where PAS was alleged to have received money from UMNO prior to GE-14.

Besides that, PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali was caught in the middle of the controversy. His name was dropped by Zaharudin, asserting that “Dr Hussam II” is close with Azmin, but he is uncertain if the former received funds from the latter.

However, the Economic Affairs Minister did not address the matter. Instead, he asked PAS to solve its internal issues including the “dedak cartel” before poking their nose into others’.

The statement was made in response to Takiyuddin’s remarks on Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, name calling the PKR president as a “convict”.

Who are the five individuals listed by Zaharudin as “dedak cartel”?
