2022 has been erratic for Malaysia as the nation faced political chaos. Along with the external economic factors namely the supply disruptions from the Covid-19, Ukraine-Russia and OPEC curring oil production, this has impacted the country’s inflation. Analysts around the world had also warned of an incoming recession in 2023.

 

 

Although the political heat in Malaysia has simmered down after the formation of the unity government, Malaysia still has to brace through economic challenges in 2023 as the recession is most likely to happen.
