Insight and analysis on the trend of vape and e-cigarette based on media intelligence methodology.

 

Earlier in January, smoking ban was a hot issue as the ban started to take effect across Peninsular Malaysia starting from the first day of 2019.

 

The smoking ban prohibited smokers to light up at eateries. A minimum distance of 3 meters away from a food premise is required if one decided to smoke.

 

It was a win for the Health Ministry for implementing the nationwide smoking ban at eateries.

 

However, on the second half of 2019, another issue arise. It is the lack of regulation on vape and e-cigarette in the country.
