KPLB Agropolitan projects gathered more than 3,000 participants

The Ministry of Rural Development initiated the Agropolitan Project to develop, increase the income and improve the life quality of the rural people. The ministry collaborated with two agencies under their portfolio FELCRA and RISDA.

FELCRA stands for Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority which is in charge of preparing the land for oil palm. Meanwhile, RISDA stands for Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority is the rubber tree counterpart.

Since the project was initiated back in 2007, it managed to established 11 Agropolitan sites which took up roughly 10,000 hectares of land all across Malaysia. Plus, the project gathered approximately 3,000 participants.
