Malaysians shall pay more attention on their children health

Malaysia recently have a Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) outbreak leading to shut down in several schools. While on the page of children healthcare, we should take note that there is still a high percentage of infant in Malaysia who suffers from underweight and stunting with 12.4% and 17.7% respectively. These health problems cause from malnutrition. Plus, children who experience stunting may result to obesity when they grow up due to disproportionate body weight and height.

Besides, the percentage of overweight children below the age of five have increase from 6.4% in 2006 to 7.6% in 2015. If taken lightly, overweight baby might suffer from obesity in the future. We shall pay more attention to our children health as they will be the leaders of Malaysia tomorrow.
