Principle statistics of cattle in Malayisa

During the parliamentary session, Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Salahuddin Ayub said “Malaysia currently have 7 cows in 72 satellite farms.” This means our nation is going through a livestock crisis. It is definitely more pressing that LGBT issue. But, it was a mistake. He meant to say 7,000 cows which he immediately corrected his misspoken words.

Despite his clarification, Malaysia cattle population have been greatly reduced since 2011. However, our local production of beef from cattle was not affected by the lesser cow population because we import cattle from overseas to slaughter.
