Strong surge in Tobacco despite no catalyst

British American Tobacco (Malaysia) Bhd see a sudden strong rise in their company share price despite no strong news supporting the company development revealed.

British American Tobacco share price went up suddenly on February 11, 2021 from RM13.16 to RM13.56, a 3.04% increment.

The company share was traded at around RM13 before the strong demand.

BAT is among the top gainers during the trading session on February 11, 2021 It was among the top five gainers of the list, gaining RM0.40.

The net profit of the company was seen flat. It has been slowly declining since the fourth quarter of December 2019.

Despite the company revenue was recovering in the recent quarter, however, it is comparably lower Y-o-Y.
