It discusses how challenges such as Trump tariffs, shifting global demand, rising costs, and supply chain disruptions have affected these sectors. The garment industry, heavily reliant on the US market, has faced tariff impacts and is diversifying into new markets.

This publication investigates the disparities in food prices across various Malaysian states, with a strong emphasis on understanding the underlying causes of these regional gaps. Combining both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, the study maps out significant variations in food commodity prices, drawing from manually compiled data sourced from Federal Agricultural Market Authority (FAMA), the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS), the Department of Agriculture (DOA), and other related agencies.

The Perumahan Rakyat 1Malaysia (PR1MA) program was launched with the aim of providing affordable housing specifically targeted at the middle-income group (M40) in Malaysia. However, concerns have been raised due to the escalating property prices nationwide, which have cast doubt on PR1MA’s effectiveness in fulfilling its mission.

This paper explores the housing price landscape in Selangor, Malaysia’s most developed and densely populated state, with a focus on the economic and social disparities between urban and rural regions. Housing affordability has emerged as a critical dimension of the cost of living, especially for B40 and M40 households facing stagnant wages amidst escalating property prices.
