Accepting ex-UMNO members into PPBM will cause internal conflict?

On February 12, seven ex-UMNO Mps officially joined PPBM. They are Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (Masjid Tanah), Hamzah Zainuddin (Larut), Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz (Tanah Merah), Latiff Ahmad (Mersing), Rosol Wahid (Hulu Terengganu), Mohd Fasiah Mohd Fakeh (Sabak Bernam) and Shahbudin Yahya (Tasik Gelugor).

PPBM chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad welcome all seven of them into PPBM. He also defended their entrance to his party, stating that everyone makes mistakes, but it is who they are now that matters.

Coincidentally, Marzuki Yahaya was an opponent against Tasek Gelugor MP Shahbudin Yahaya during GE-14. Today, the latter has officially entered PPBM. Yet, Marzuki is not pulling back on his petition to the Federal Court to recount the votes for Tasek Gelugor during the last general election.

Shahbudin defeated Marzuki with only 81 majority votes. Whether there will be a change for Tasek Gelugor MP or not, there will be a dissatisfied person. Thus, we can expect an internal politics within PPBM. So, is it a good thing to accept former UMNO politicians into PPBM as they might only do so for their own political survival?
