Friendly fire within Pakatan Harapan

On December 18, Rahim Thamby Chik announced that he will sue DAP Khoo Poay Tiong for attempting to stop him from entering PPBM. Previously, Khoo criticised Rahim for his past controversies.

Subsequently, Khoo’s party mate Ramkarpal Singh responded to Rahim’s action. Ramkarpal said that how can Pakatan Harapan politicians work with Rahim if he threatens his future ally with a lawsuit.

Additionally, there is another war of words between PPBM Syed Saddiq and DAP Ramasamy Palanisamy. It started when PPBM’s ARMADA submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad requesting him to sack Minister in Prime Minister’s Department (National Unity and Social Well-being) Waytha Moorthy as an aftermath of the temple fracas.

Hence, Palanisamy said ARMADA chief Syed Saddiq is going against the constitution for questioning the Prime Minister’s decision. In this case, the appointment of Waytha Moorthy as a minister. However, Syed Saddiq said that he will not apologise for speaking his mind

Consequently, DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang voiced out his opinion, stating that Pakatan Harapan need to have a standard operating procedure (SOP) for expression of criticism among the leaders in the coalition.

If there is an SOP for expression of criticism, will certain topics be off limit to address by the leaders?
