Najib’s hang-up with Harapan Manifesto isn’t over?

Although preoccupied with the infamous 1MDB trial, former Prime Minister Najib Razak is still hung up on the Harapan Manifesto.

Although Pakatan Harapan is still holding on with the narration of fulfilling the manifesto, Najib has successfully become one of the influencers of the topic “Harapan Manifesto”. For the past month, the media had quoted 120 statements from Najib Razak.

Najib resumed his trolling in one of his recent tweets, he teased that it has been 300 days since Pakatan Harapan became the government, questioning on whether is it the people’s burden or their wallets that are getting lighter.

The article linked to his tweet dated back to March 9, 2018, showing PH leaders promising to fulfil their 100 days promise.

Before that, Najib Razak was making criticisms about the decision to implement the free off-peak charges on  tolls, claiming that it did not fulfil the promise of abolishing tolls as written in the Harapan Manifesto.

However, Najib did not stop there. He claimed that free toll during the off-peak hours will only benefits gays, drunks, and ghosts.

That comment stirred up the social media which made him apologise on the very next day. But his apology did not calm down the Twitter users as Najib continues to be ridiculed for his remark.

Most of the comments from the netizens were unfavourable towards Najib. However, with the current development on tolls and PTPTN, the former Prime Minister might have targeted a sweet spot as it is difficult for Pakatan Harapan to fulfil their promises surrounding those issues.
