Orang Asli only made up of 0.6% from the whole Malaysia population

 

Orang Asli have been a marginal group in Malaysia with only 178,197 population. Thus, they only made up about 0.6% of the whole Malaysia population which roughly consist of 28 million people. Majority of the Orang Asli are located in Pahang with 64,443 people or 36.16% of the whole Orang Asli population.

 

The second highest populated state with Orang Asli is Perak with 53,299 people (29.91%). Taking the third spot is Selangor with 17,587 Orang Asli. Therefore, majority of Orang Asli are situated in the central of Peninsular Malaysia.
