Since the past month, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, the wife of former Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Najib Abdul Razak, has barely appeared in the media. She only gave out 22 statements in that duration.
The most recent news about Rosmah Mansor is regarding her no-show at the Hight Court for her case mentioned on April 5, which was later justified as “unfit to attend the Court” by her lawyer Jagjit Singh.
Jagjit Singh made 26 Rosmah Mansor-related statements on the media in the past month.
UMNO supreme council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam is the top influencer of Rosmah Mansor in the media, with 47 statements in total.
Lokman has been known to be a loud supporter of Najib Razak and Rosmah Mansor.
His devotion can be seen from his actions during the Semenyih by-election campaign trail, when he tore off the banner strung by Pakatan Harapan supporters bearing Rosmah Mansor’s face with the caption “Siapa boss? Aku lah boss. Ingat Najib ke? (Who is the boss? I am the boss. Thought it’s Najib?)”.
Rosmah Mansor’s lawyers Geethan Ram Vincent and Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader made 39 and 38 statements respectively.
Rosmah Mansor has been charged under Section 16(a) (A) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act and is punishable under Section 24 of the same Act, which provides an imprisonment up to 20 years and a fine of not less than five times the amount of the gratification or RM10,000, whichever is higher, upon conviction.
