1MDB: Narration Shifted

The media’s focus on the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) topic has shifted towards the former Bank Negara Malaysia Governor, Zeti Aziz, after an allegation was made about her family involving with 1MDB.

During the 28th December 2020 to 3rd January 2021, the issues shifted to focus only on the accusations made towards Zeti Aziz and her family.

Anwar Ibrahim and Najib Razak aggressively questioned the allegations surrounding her and her family being linked to 1MDB.

Other than that, UMNO youth is also involved in this issue as they lodged a police report against Zeti Aziz regarding the allegation.

However, she quickly slammed the claims, stating that the allegations made are false and malicious.

The narration also shifted with Anwar Ibrahim, Zeti Akhtar Aziz and Najib Razak being the top influencers on the 1MDB topic during 28th December 2020 to 3rd January 2021.

Anwar and Zeti are leading the list despite not being on the list in the previous week. Najib on the other hand, rose to the third rank.

Both Najib and Anwar are on the top of the list as they demanded an answer from Zeti on the allegations.

News exposure for Zeti Aziz increased promptly in the month of December reaching almost 150 news exposure.

Within the month of December, the news exposure skyrocketed on the last day, almost reaching 75 news.

On top of that, the news exposure soared after Malaysia Today’s report, claiming Zeti’s family had received millions from fugitive businessman Jho Low.
