Annuar Musa, the Spokesperson for Bersatu

Annuar Musa strong attack on other leaders in UMNO intensified in the time of budget announcement, setting himself clearly away from other UMNO leaders.

Despite being an UMNO minister, Annuar Musa have been been actively attacking other UMNO leaders over several issues, with latest being on the 2021 budgets.

He also started to criticize UMNO’s direction after losing the Sabah state election and declaring his support to Muhyiddin.

When UMNO members demanded for more seats, Annuar called out his members to stop having a superiority complex attitude and consider it is a blessing that some of the MPs are still elected in Muhyiddin’s Cabinet members.

The difference between him and UMNO surface as early as in 2018. In 2018, he urged the party to not defend Najib and even sent a memorandum with signatures of him and several UMNO supreme council members to reprimand Najib on the RM2.6 billion in the latter’s personal bank accounts.

This year, he took another bold move by constantly making statements about a possible grand coalition between UMNO, PAS and Bersatu, despite having no position on that decision.

On another hand, Johor UMNO Deputy Chief, Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed and UMNO supreme council member Puad Zarkashi have voiced out against Annuar, saying that he needs to stop being Bersatu’s spokesperson and go behind their president.

However, there are rumors about how Annuar has no longer deemed relevant by people within the party, saying he remained as a secretary general out of pity.
