Backstreet Boys’ DNA World Tour does not include Malaysia

Backstreet’s back alright, but not in Malaysia. The 5-member boy band announced they’re doing an Asia tour as part of their 9th studio album “DNA” released this year. The Backstreet Boys (BSB) announced they would stop by China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Singapore.

According to their announcement above, they’re set to perform in Japan not once, but thrice. Malaysian fans of the heartthrobs cried it out in cyber space as the group did not name Malaysia as one of their stops.

But Malaysia is not alone in this. Other Southeast Asia countries that were left out are Brunei and Vietnam. Additionally, the home of K-pop which produced numerous boy bands and girl groups, South Korea was also not included in Backstreet Boys’ DNA World Tour.

In 2015, the 90s boyband performed at Stadium Negara, Kuala Lumpur. Back then, their concert tickets sold out in 5 days. As a result, the concert organisers opened 600 more tickets. Therefore, selling the concert tickets wouldn’t be a hassle in Malaysia.
