Did Shafie Apdal really gave his ‘blessings’ for PPBM in Sabah?
Previously, Malaysia Indicator wondered whether the decision of PPBM entering Sabah was one done with Prime Minister Tun Mahathir’s presence or without.

On February 6, 2019, ex-UMNO man, Hajiji Mohd Noor said that Bersatu will ultimately spread its wings into the state. However, at the time, it left many dumbfounded as the Prime Minister had earlier said that the party will not be stepping foot in Sabah.
The question has now been answered when recently, Tun Mahathir echoed Hajiji’s statement confirming PPBM’s entry into Sabah on the 15th of February, 2019.
During this time, the media focuses on Warisan President Shafie Apdal as he too had previously hoped for the party to not meddle in Sabah’s affairs. However, media reported that Shafie was avoiding the media when asked on his view following Bersatu’s decision to set foot in the state.
Based on the graph, Shafie remains quiet for 3 consecutive days from 15th to 17th despite Tun Mahathis had announced that PPBM will expand into Sabah. Shafie only started to address the issue on the 18th.
According to his statements on PPBM entering Sabah, Shafie seems to be fine with the party expansion. He said PPBM expanding into Sabah is not against the law. Also, he said that Warisan will continue to work with PH.
Nevertheless, he did not explicitly said that he gave his blessing for PPBM to enter Sabah.
On the other hand, Shafie acceptance of PPBM entering Sabah seems to be happening too soon. This means that he gave his blessing to PPBM?
