Lokman plans to sue satire artist Fahmi Reza

Satire artist Fahmi Reza posted the image below of a figurine of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. In the post Fahmi captioned he would be selling this figurine to celebrate Najib’s upcoming trial, claiming it is available for pre-order and limited to 100 pieces only.

But a day after the post, Fahmi uploaded a follow-up post revealing that it was just an April Fool’s joke. He thanked the people for showing interest in purchasing the figurine, plus taking a jab at the ‘Bossku gang’ for falling for the joke.

However, the prank was not taken lightly by some, especially Dato’ Lokman Noor Adam, who questioned Fahmi’s actions. The UMNO supreme council member posted an almost 9-minute video to express his feelings about the joke.

In the video, Lokman questioned Fahmi for not doing the same caricature of Lim Guan Eng in relation to his bungalow deal and undersea tunnel controversies. Besides, Lokman said he is aware of the April Fool’s joke, but the court has decided that it is wrong for him to paint clown-faced Najib because it is offensive and provocative.

The video ends with Lokman’s revelation that he will sue the controversial artist for depicting him tearing a photo of clown-faced Najib, referencing the UM protest incident.

But the situation did not end here. Fahmi responded to Lokman’s threat by posting an open letter. In the letter, Fahmi calls Lokman an easily offended ‘politikus’, plus he is prepared to defend against any legal action by Lokman.

Ultimately, will Lokman Adam sue Fahmi Reza? And, will Fahmi be found guilty again?
