Ahmad Idham is the new face of FINAS

On March 13, Minister of Communications and Multimedia Gobind Singh Deo announced that actor cum director Ahmad Idham Ahmad Nadzri had been appointed as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of National Film Development Corporation (FINAS).

 

Ahmad Idham began his acting career as a supporting actor in the film KLU in 1995. He was then offered a small role in a TV3 drama series Identiti in 1996, which led him to starring in movie drama series since then.

 

Ahmad Idham gained recognition from his work in the drama series Cinderella in 1998, before he landed a main role in the popular sitcom Spanar Jaya (1999-2005).

 

Starting his first directing role in 1998, Ahmad Idham was awarded Best Director at Anugerah Skrin in 2003. As of today, he has directed over 40 films.

 

Now married with four kids, Ahmad Idham is running Ahmad Idham Film Academy (AIFA) aimed to produce young talents for the local film industry.

 

Asian Award Film Festival 2018 has gifted him an international recognition award for his contributions to the film industry.

 

As the new face of FINAS, he is planning to improve the structure of FINAS in accordance of the government’s direction.

 

Ahmad Idham will be serving as CEO of FINAS for two years, effective from March 11.
