Farhash Wafa finally surrendered to the police

PKR Perak chairman Farhash Wafa was summoned by the police to assist with the investigation of an assault incident in Ampang during Merdeka Day.

The victim claimed that he was assaulted by 10 men at a parking lot of a sports complex. It was reported that Farhash is one of the suspects in the incident.

On September 4, the PKR Perak chairman responded to the summon, stating that he would assist with the investigation. Then, he claimed that the victim of the assault had attempted to sexually assault his wife two years ago.

Nevertheless, Farhash surrendered to the police about a week later, on September 10. He claimed that he was away on a diving trip, thus the delay in turning himself in.

Farhash is also a political secretary to PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He gained his fame back in July when he was arrested to assist with the investigation on the production and distribution of the alleged sex videos of PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.

Upon his release on July 23, after his four-day remand, Farhash made a scene in front of the Dang Wangi Police Headquarters by shouting “Anwar for PM, Azmin is homosexual” in front of his supporters.

Then, his employer Anwar said that Farhash was not given food for almost 24 hours while he was in police custody. The claim was dismissed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador.

For the assault case, his employer Anwar urged Farhash to turn himself in to the authorities on September 5. Moreover, the PKR president believes that his aide is innocent in the incident.
