Although both Mohamad and Dr Streram are contesting for the Rantau state seat, they are using different modus operandi to appeal to the people’s needs as their future MP.

Mohamad, also known as Tok Mat, is putting his faith on the people’s appreciation and recognition of his contributions as Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan for 14 years and Rantau assemblyman for three terms.

In addition, Mohamad recently has also been outspoken on former Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Najib Abdul Razak’s 1MDB scandal.

According to Mohamad, after ten months in power, the Pakatan Harapan government still fails to prove that Najib is guilty of stealing millions of ringgit from 1MDB fund.

On top of that, Mohamad also appeals to the people’s sufferings under Pakatan’s governance.

Meanwhile, Dr Streram, the anaesthesiologist with 34 years of experience, is promising to solve the problems of job opportunities, housing, health clinics, food mitigation, and public transports in Rantau.

Dr Streram is also offering his expertise as a doctor to help anyone in need.

Furthermore, sitting between Mohamad and Dr Streram is Port Dickson MP Anwar Ibrahim, who has been campaigning on behalf of Dr Streram.

One of his promises is that the people of Rantau will benefit from PD’s developments if Dr Streram wins the by-election.

Mohamad won the Rantau seat uncontested in GE14, and he is now defending the seat in a four-corner fight with Dr Streram and two other independent candidates, Mohd Nor Yassin and R Malarvizhi.
