Health director-general Datuk Seri Noor Hisham Abdullah was seen to be the most active influencer who addressed on the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

This is due to his daily update on the number of new cases of Covid-19 in Malaysia.

 

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob came in second as he was busy in enforcing the Movement Control Order (MCO), coming out with guidelines and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

 

 

As the country is moving forward to its next phase of MCO, also known as Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), it was noticeable that Ismail Sabri has been gaining higher media exposure compared to Noor Hisham.

 

 

In recent times, Ismail Sabri was busy addressing on the SOP of CMCO, such as guidelines for visitation during the festive season and urging supermarkets to not make mask wearing mandatory for customers.

 

Besides, the Defence Minister also announced that it is compulsory for all foreign workers to undergo Covid-19 screening.

 

Interstate travels are allowed with police permission, while foreigners are still prohibited from entering the country.

 

 

On the other hand, Noor Hisham continues with his daily update on the Covid-19 situation in Malaysia.

 

At the same time, he was also seen to advice the public on practice during the CMCO, such as not to host open house during the festive season.

 

Overall, the number of daily new Covid-19 cases have been decreasing, while more and more patients have recovered.

 

With enactment of CMCO, the influencers of Covid-19 have shifted their narration towards the recovery phase of the pandemic, thus, Ismail Sabri overtook Noor Hisham in terms of media presence.
