Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad presented the mid-term review 11th Malaysian Plan (RMK-11) during the parliamentary session on October 18.
The day before, on October 17, Twitter users have started to tweet on RMK-11. Notably, Foreign Affairs Minister Saifuddin Abdullah’s tweet which gathered a significant amount of impression. The other influencers of the topic “RMK-11” are news portals Awani News and Utusan Malaysia. Utusan revealed that they have been prohibited from taking RMK-11 report.
On the presentation day, October 18, we can see that the network has become much bigger and can be separate into three different groups.
The pink group is consist of news portals and journalists who spread news on RMK-11. Notable influencers in this group are @AsyarfAWANI, @501Awani, @bernamadotcom and @NewsBM.
The green group primary influencer is @acinoseth. He is a photographer for The Malaysian Insight. His iconic picture of Mahathir, Anwar and Azmin walking down the hallway to present the mid-term review became viral and gathered a high amount of retweets.
The orange group consist of accounts that post about RMK-11 mid-term review findings. The influencers are government information departments’ accounts @JPenerangan and @japenkelantan. Besides, Twitter user @Abam_Win is also active in retweeting tweets from the government information departments’ accounts.
