Mustapa Mohamed left UMNO
On September 18, Mustapa Mohamed or more commonly known as Tok Pa made headlines on the media due for his sudden departure from UMNO after serving the party for more than four decades.
Based on the influencers of “Mustapa Mohamed” topic, UMNO secretary-general Annuar Musa addressed on Mustapa’s departure twice more than the party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. Annuar was more active due to his statement saying that Mustapa leave UMNO while he was under police investigation. Meanwhile, another UMNO veteran Anifah Aman was also active to comment on the issue because he also quit the party the next day on September 19.
When we look into Mustapa Mohamed media exposure, he actually started to fade on the media after Barisan Nasional loss in PRU-14. In September 2018, he is also quiet until the 18th when he made a sudden announcement that he had left the party.
